Packwood House RoofSome day your wondering round an old National Trust house and your thinking, quite rightly, some how all these houses look the same, despite the letters, and paintings,, statues, chairs and what not, they just feel as though they have been arranged by the same person. Yet look away from the areas they, the people who layout and control the house, and start to see the real house. Take for instance, Packwood House, walk about the house and you’ll see some nice things, but try going the great hall and look up, and gaze upon a pitched roof structure thats truly worthy of some time to study, hence the picture today.

So often I have spoken on this subject, but its so important that again I mention it, look up away from the street level and see some truly amazing Architecture, and in my case great construction.

I am currently doing far more writing than drawing, but having just had several new jobs in, that’s about to change, with two new planning jobs and two building reg jobs about to break, might have to look for some help.

So the CPD is look, not just at eye level but all about you. thats it, I am off to Badersley Clinton another NT house for a cake and coffee.

Have a look at the links below, especially the Republic of Ireland article, in my humble opinion they have been well and truly shafted by the government, I know little about it, who is to blame or even who has pushed this forward, how can we as Technologists be so ignored,  I aim to find out. this blog seems to have a lot on the subject, my thanks to Mark for the link.
